Background
Both "Thailand's 4.0 Strategy" and "China's Belt and Road Initiative" provide significant opportunities to its own nation and neighboring countries. "Thailand's 4.0 strategy" focuses on improving Thailand to be a value-based and
innovation-driven economy by promoting technology and creativity. While "China's
Belt and Road Initiative" emphasizes on connectivity and cooperation between
Eurasian countries, within which Thailand plays an increasingly important role
on the Maritime Silk Road.
Sichuan Provincial Research Institute of Thai Studies (SPRITS) is hosting The
1st SPRITS International Forum on Thai Studies: Thailand's 4.0 Strategy and
China's Belt and Road Initiative, hoping to provide an academic
and professional platform for scholars and practitioners to share their
knowledge and practices for better communications and further collaborations.
